Basic Fitness Program (3 Months)
This program has been designed for the novice to intermediate trainee. However, it is also popular with athletes of all abilities who are seeking improved performance via a strength & conditioning program. Many clients begin with this program, a miniature version of the Lifestyle Fitness Program, and later transition into one of the Lifestyle Programs. As with all of Your Personal Best's programs, the elements of cardiovascular, nutrition, and weight/flexibility training are included in this introductory fitness package. Fat loss during this program averages between 12 - 15 lbs.
This program includes two educational sessions. One session will focus on nutritional techniques & strategies, the difference between fat loss and weight loss and the implications of each, and the importance of lean body mass (this segment of this program is optional). The remaining session will focus on the physiology of aerobic and anaerobic exercise, the differences between them, and the role each plays in burning fat and promoting cardiovascular health.
Also included in this package are one nutritional analysis(if nutritional focus is desired), one fitness test, one workout program specifically designed for the needs and abilities of the individual, and 12 (based on attendance once a week) or 24 (based on attendance twice a week) personal training sessions.
